Hi there! We are a Tucson-based garden club consisting of members who are interested in sharing and learning about desert landscaping and design, as well as working with community to create beautiful gardens and aide where needed.
We've been around since 1935, and have many long-time members with vast experience, as well as new members who are just learning about this different landscape. If you are in the Tucson area, we'd love to have you come to one of our meetings!
The Tucson Garden Club has long been a supporter of the community, helping where needed. In the early days, landscaping was done on the Cerebral Palsy Grounds, the YWCA, Tucson Blind Associations' ground for garden therapy, the E. Nye Fish House in the Historical area of downtown Tucson, and the Fort Lowell Project of tree planting.
The club supports both the Arizona Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. and the National Garden Clubs, Inc. projects, such as, Litterbug Campaigns, Beautification of Roadside Parks, Blue Star Memorial Markers, Arbor Day tree plantings and donations to support the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum Demonstration Garden Operation Walkflower, World Gardening, Arizona Nature Conservancy, and the Desert Survivors Organization.
We also have donated money to help pay for the water for the Community Gardens of Tucson and to Habitat for Humanity and the Community Food Bank, AND SO MUCH MORE!
As you can see, community is very important to us!
CONSERVATION PLEDGE: I give my pledge as an American to save and faithfully defend from waste the natural resources of my country, its' forests, water, and wildlife.
The Arizona Federation of Garden Clubs convention was held April 14-16, 2023 at the Double Tree by Hilton in Tempe, AZ. Several of the members from the Tucson Garden Club attended and made presentations, and our Butterflies & Bees Basket was a hit at the Raffle!
